2025 Design Trends
In 2025, interior design trends reflect a growing emphasis on sustainability and multifunctionality. Biophilic design is going to continue to gain traction. Earthy color palettes are going to continue to dominate, with warm tones and neutral shades creating calming environments, and minimalism is going to remain relevant, but with a focus on personalized touches that tell a story, blending modern aesthetics with comfort and individuality. One of the biggest design predictions that I am most excited for though, is moving back to traditional styles by embracing original home features, curating the perfect personal touches with thrifted home finds while adding modern touches here and there. We can’t wait to dive into these with you— Browse below & scroll till the very end for some of our favorite pieces that would look great in spaces using these techniques!
Color Drenching
Color drenching is a design technique that involves enveloping a space in a single color. By using color uniformly across walls, furniture, and accessories, the focus shifts from individual elements to the overall mood of the space. This is the perfect way to provoke a moody feel to any space. We especially love the use of color drenching in rooms that have built-ins or wainscotting.
2. Rich / Dark Stains
Following the trend of embracing earth tones, warm, rich, dark wood is making a well-deserved comeback after years of being covered with brighter tones. I may be biased after buying a house that was built in the 70’s, but I love that this has came back. Out are the days of swapping everything out for cool-toned grays!
3. Lime-Washed Walls
The lime-washed wall trend combines aesthetic appeal with sustainability, offering a textured, natural finish that enhances both modern and traditional spaces. This could be the perfect accent wall technique for a bedroom or powder room.
4. Thrifted Decor
Thrifted decor offers an opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind design that produces a synonymous blend of personality with both modern and vintage pieces. Thrifted wall decor, trinkets, baskets and lamps are going to be some of the easiest pieces to incorporate into your spaces.
5. Full Slab Backsplash
A full slab backsplash creates a seamless and elegant appearance in the kitchen, enhancing both aesthetic appeal and functionality with its continuous surface.
